On April 18, 2009 Bad Boy Fighter Mauricio “Shogun” Rua took the fight to Chuck Liddell, knocking out the MMA Legend in the 4th minute of Round 1.

Shogun seemed to have every tool at his disposal including an unexpected takedown around the 2nd minute, followed by an attempted heel-hook. Eventually, Chuck dropped his guard at the wrong time and Shogun was able to deliver a left hook that knocked Chuck down. Shogun quickly followed Chuck to the ground with a flurry of hammer-fists until Mario Yamasaki stopped the fight and declared a TKO.

For the last three months Shogun had been training heavily, preparing both physically and technically for this fight. And now, most rankings place Shogun at #5 in the world within the Light Heavyweight division.

To commemorate this event, Revgear is offering the Limited Edition Bad Boy Shogun UFC97 Walk-In Tee shirt.
