WEC 49: Results

Revgear fighter LC Davis lost to Josh Grispi by submission in Round 1. LC says:  “I know everything happens for a reason!.. I know I did everything I could do to prepare myself for this so I really can’t be to down on myself.. I just made a couple rookie mistakes that you can’t make at this level.. So, I want to everyone for helping me, supporting me, and rooting me on!.. I’ll be back stronger next time!.. I promise that!..”

Jamie Varner vs. Kamal Shalorus fight ended in a draw – though may call it “a controversial decision”.  Jamie had to fight through hand and foot injuries and three illegal groin strikes from Shalorus, but this wasn’t enough for the judges.  After the fight Jamie said: “I definitely feel I won the fight. But you know what? Kamal Shalorus is now the toughest guy you have heard of. I have much respect for this guy.”
