Quick Verdict

Who Is Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee?

Everyday Dose is a premium mushroom coffee brand committed to offering the highest quality mushroom products made exclusively from fruiting body extracts.

Their products undergo rigorous lab testing for beta-glucans, heavy metals, allergens, and mycotoxins, ensuring no added starch, mycelium, or grain.

Everyday Dose emphasizes the superiority of their extraction methods, combining hot water and alcohol extraction to maximize the bioavailability of beneficial compounds like beta-D glucans and triterpenes.

These compounds are known for their immune-boosting, antimicrobial, and anticancer properties, distinguishing Everyday Dose from other brands that use inferior mycelial biomass.

Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee Ingredients

Lion’s Mane Extract

The Lion’s mane mushroom is a popular tooth fungus known for its distinctive taste and texture.

In addition to its use in culinary environments, being the single most researched and proven medicinal mushroom species has led to its being included in many supplements like this one.

It effectively improves a person’s cognitive health, functions, performance, and brain cell growth. Lion’s Mane’s other mental benefits include improved focus, mood, memory, and concentration, and a reduction in confusion, cognitive decline, stress, and many different mental health issues.

It also offers several physical benefits, such as boosting your nervous and immune system, aerobic capacity, athletic endurance, blood flow, oxygen utilization, energy level, ATP production, and reducing inflammation.

However, Lion’s mane mushrooms will only do any of this if you consume a daily dose of at least 1,000 mg.

One scoop of Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee weighs 7 grams, so it is possible that it contains this dose. Unfortunately, as the mushroom is in a blend within a blend, it is impossible to know if enough is present for use [1].

Chaga Extract

Chaga mushrooms are edible macroscopic fungi that mainly grow on birch trees. They are rich in a wide range of beneficial compounds, including melanin, polyphenols, triterpenoids, and polysaccharides.

This has led to it becoming one of the most popular medicinal mushrooms to include in supplements.

Studies show that the Chaga mushroom can enhance your gut health, boost immunity, improve focus and energy levels, reduce blood sugar and cholesterol, and prevent or treat cell mutation, stress, fatigue, and certain chronic illnesses and bodily ailments.

However, those same studies also show that a minimum daily dose of 500 mg of Chaga mushrooms must be consumed for these benefits [2][3].

As with the Lion’s mane mushroom, while this amount of chaga mushroom extract may have been included in a serving of the Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee, it is housed in a blend within a blend, which means we can’t know for sure either way.

Proprietary Coffee Extract

Coffee beans are well known to be high in caffeine. They give coffee its distinctive taste and the ability to boost energy levels, which has helped it become a morning staple for many people.

Beyond this, coffee beans offer several other beneficial effects for humans, such as helping support the liver and heart, lowering blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and improving mental health [4].

However, a standard cup of coffee contains around 5 grams of coffee beans. While we do not know what quantity of coffee beans are present in a serving of Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee, the weight of a serving and its place on the ingredients list mean we know that this amount is not present.

It has been included as a “Proprietary Coffee Extract,” meaning there is no information on what coffee beans have been used or where they come from.

However, each serving contains 45 mg of caffeine, which is approximately half of a regular cup of coffee.

Collagen Protein

Collagen is a type of protein obtained from animals, most notably cows, fish, and poultry. It can offer incredible benefits for the human body.

These include improving wound healing, intestine functions, blood clotting, and muscle growth and maintenance, keeping the eyes, joints, bones, and skin healthy and functioning as they should, reducing cellulite, and promoting the growth and repair of cartilage and connective tissues.

Unfortunately, studies show that it requires as much as 10 grams of collagen daily to see any beneficial effects [5].

A serving of Everyday Dose weighs 7 grams in its entirety, so even with the dosages hidden, not enough is present to be useful.

Because collagen is present, Everyday Dose is unsuitable for vegans.

L-theanine is an amino acid found in green tea leaves. It is well known to promote calmness and relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, boost immunity, keep one mentally healthy and functioning at an optimal level, and enhance focus, sleep quality, and overall well-being.

Perhaps the most important reason for its use, though, is it can prevent the side effects that stimulants like caffeine can cause.

However, while l-theanine can do all of this, it will only do so if you consume 100-400 mg daily [6].

While it is certainly possible that Everyday Dose contains this amount, the lack of any stated dosages makes it impossible to know whether a useful amount has been included.

Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee Price

On the official Everyday Dose website, a 30-serving bag of mushroom coffee is advertised for $36, which works out at $1.20 per cup, which does not seem too bad.

However, there does not seem to be any way to purchase it like this. Instead, you are required to sign up for a subscription for $27 for the first bag and a free starter kit (which works out at $0.90 per cup). From bag two onwards, the prices revert to those listed above.

My Experience Taking Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee

I decided to try Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee, intrigued by its promise of a healthier coffee alternative that could enhance focus, mood, and overall well-being.

I was particularly drawn to the blend’s low caffeine content and the inclusion of functional mushrooms like Lion’s Mane and Chaga. However, my experience with Everyday Dose was mixed.

First, the taste was a significant hurdle for me. Everyday Dose is described as having a smooth, rich flavor with notes of chocolate, but I found it quite different from my usual coffee.

The mushrooms’ prominent earthy undertones took some getting used to. Despite using a frother to mix it well and adding my usual creamer, I still had to force myself to enjoy the taste rather than something I looked forward to each morning.

Given the impressive list of ingredients and their benefits, I expected to notice improvements in focus, energy, and overall well-being after consistently using Everyday Dose for a few weeks.

Unfortunately, I didn’t experience any significant changes. My energy levels remained about the same as with regular coffee, and I didn’t feel any boost in focus or mood.

In fact, without the usual caffeine kick from my regular coffee, I often felt a bit sluggish and found myself reaching for an additional cup of something else to get through the day.

Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee Customer Reviews

Customer reviews of Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee have an average score of 4.3 out of 5 stars, which looks promising.

When looking at the positive reviews, things like finding the product taste good and being easy to mix and producing benefits like improved focus, mental clarity and energy levels, and less brain fog were all repeatedly mentioned. Many users liked the inclusion of a free starter kit.

However, the negative reviews of the product also show many people who had issues.

Negative reviews commonly mention that it is expensive when considering the benefits it offers or that it provides no benefits at all.

There were also complaints about its unpleasant texture and aftertaste, its taste, and its causing some side effects.

Said side effects included an elevated heartbeat, mild anxiety, brain fog, digestive issues and pain, acid reflux, headaches, and lightheadedness.

There was also more than one review with issues directed at the company rather than just the product.

These included the company not honoring the refund promoted in its marketing and it not being obvious that you were being enrolled in a monthly subscription service.

Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee Side Effects

I didn’t experience any adverse side effects taking Everyday Dose. However, that doesn’t mean you won’t. Digestive issues such as bloating or gas may arise due to the inclusion of mushrooms and other ingredients that might be unfamiliar to some digestive systems.

The high fiber content in mushrooms can sometimes exacerbate these problems. Allergic reactions, though rare, can occur, particularly if one has a known allergy to mushrooms or any other ingredient in the blend.

Furthermore, the adaptogenic mushrooms and other active compounds in Everyday Dose might interact with certain medications.

It’s advisable to consult with a healthcare provider if you are taking any prescription medications to ensure no adverse interactions.

Nootrum Coffee Fusion

Nootrum Coffee Fusion

At first glance, Nootrum Coffee Fusion resembles other mushroom coffees, blending ground coffee beans with Lion’s Mane and Chaga mushrooms.

This unique combination allows Nootrum Coffee Fusion to deliver optimal benefits, including stress management, sustained energy levels, enhanced focus, and improved productivity.

Additionally, it supports overall brain and body health. The coffee’s delightful flavor ensures each cup is enjoyable without adding sugar, honey, coconut milk, or other sweeteners.

Unfortunately, Everyday Dose doesn’t meet the criteria for mushroom coffee. Its very low caffeine dose and unreported ingredient dosages may prevent users from experiencing mushroom benefits.

In my experience, Nootrum Coffee Fusion is a better option, as it is dosed effectively and tastes excellent.
