Fight 2 Win is the Biggest Party in Grappling

Revgear Sports caught up with the man behind Fight 2 Win, Seth Daniels, and talked about why the show is so successful.

So can give us the story of Fight 2 Win so far?

Fight 2 Win started as a traditional BJJ and MMA event back in 2008. I was also heavily involved in putting on concerts, so in 2012, we decided to mix the two parts of what I was doing with Fight 2 Win Pro. We soon dropped the “Pro” part and stayed as F2W.

Fight 2 Win’s basic premise is that it is the biggest BJJ and grappling party in the USA, probably the world. The aim is for people to come and have a great time. We want the crowd to enjoy it so much that they start training BJJ the very next day.

What makes Fight 2 Win different from other events?

A couple of things. First, it is a party. It has the element of surprise. We want people to feel like they are going to a show, not just a competition. They are part of the party. We want the crowd to pound on the mats, have some drinks, spill their beer – we’ll clean up. The crowd are involved in the moment. We encourage them to put their cell phone down and enjoy the show. That level of crowd involvement really sets us apart from other events.

We also take away the pressure from fighters in terms of paying for the show. The money comes from ticket sales and streaming – nobody has to pay to play. We really have the fighters in mind throughout the process. We book ever bigger names to headline, which is great for the undercard. With FloGrappling on board too, the fighters are the real winners.

Both the crowd and the fighters know they can count on us. We have the experience. We ride the wave, no matter the ups and downs, we always have a great time.

Why did you choose to partner with Revgear?

I am really excited to work with Revgear again. They were our first sponsor 12 years ago. Revgear are a company that want to grow organically with us and the grappling scene. They have great products and always do what they say they are going to do. They have the same ethos as Fight 2 Win – you can count on us, we can count on Revgear. They took a chance on us 12 years ago and treated us right, I am really happy to be working with them once more.
