With the new S5 All Rounder glove and F1 Competition Boxing glove launch just around the corner we thought it would be a great time to reflect on 25 years of fighters across the globe training, competing and winning in Revgear Boxing Gloves.
So we picked three boxing gloves that have made the Revgear brand a favourite of fighters worldwide and are important for leading us to where we are today!
The S3 – Worlds Best Sparring Glove.
There were previously several versions of the S3. The Sentinel Boxing glove was a forerunner but suffered from being a little bulky and overly large. In 2016 we updated the design making it slimmer, changed the wrist strap and added some much needed color.
The glove was an instant hit in Europe with fighters such as British UFC Stars Jimi Manuwa, Arnold Allen and Ross Pearson loving the new design. As it made its way back to the USA the S3 became the most sought after boxing glove on our racks with its lace up cousin, the S4, also raising the bar for stand up sparring. Dubbed by many as a modern day classic, the 2020 release of the S3 2.0 will be one to look forward to.
The F1 – Competition Boxing Glove
For many years the recently updated and renamed F1 glove has been used by boxers and muay thai fighters who knew the glove was a competitive advantage.
A true punchers glove, The F1 leaves the shot in the opponent. In 2019 the glove was approved by the Nevada State Boxing Commission and is now the official glove of world class Muay Thai promotion Lion Fight.
The Pinnacle Boxing Glove
The Pinnacle started life as a white label glove used for custom orders in gyms across America. When Revgear’s English Creative Director, Alex Wright, a life long Boxer spent a few weeks at Revgear HQ in 2016 he had picked up what was then seen as an “Entry Level glove” to match his blue shorts for a photo shoot, having no thoughts about seriously using the glove.
“It was the first non-leather glove I’d ever used, and whilst it wasn’t on par with some of my $200 gloves I was blown away by how good the fit and padding was, with a few tweaks I thought this glove was a winner for the brand as a whole”
The design team added some features and modified the glove’s look. By 2018 it was the top selling REVGEAR glove in Europe and by 2019 we started work on a unified version. The new Pinnacle Boxing glove marks the perfect glove for anyone needing rugged reliability matched with a stunning design!
