My Experience With TestoPrime Instant Energy (2024 Review)

Looking for a pick-me-up that doubles as a nootropic and pre-workout or energy drink? TestoPrime Instant Energy is all of that in a single sachet.

TestoPrime Instant Energy isn’t the TestoPrime testosterone-boosting supplement, but it is from the same company.

I’ve enjoyed using TestoPrime Instant Energy, and it simply works.

  • Increased Energy Levels: Designed to provide a quick energy boost, which can improve your performance in workouts and daily activities.
  • Enhanced Physical Performance: May improve muscle strength and endurance, aiding in more effective exercise sessions.
  • Mental Clarity and Focus: Some ingredients may help enhance cognitive functions, leading to better focus and mental energy.
  • Easy To Transport: It comes in individual sachets, so you can throw a few in the gym and work bags for emergencies.

  • High Caffeine Dose: 200 mg of caffeine is equivalent to 2.5-3 cups of coffee, which may be a lot for caffeine-sensitive individuals.

TestoPrime Instant Energy

Who Is Testoprime?

TestoPrime Instant Energy is a product from Wolfson Brands, a UK-based supplement company known for products like PhenQ Weight Loss Supplement and Biotics8 Probiotic. It’s designed for those seeking a natural boost in energy and testosterone levels.

It’s tailored for men looking for an enhancement in physical and mental vigor without the reliance on synthetic alternatives.

This product is part of the broader TestoPrime line, focusing on health and fitness supplements that promote natural well-being and performance optimization.

Testoprime Instant Energy Ingredients

L-Tyrosine (1.5 g)

L-tyrosine is a vital ingredient in formulas for improving cognitive function and is often included in nootropic and energy products. This amino acid has been shown to promote cognitive flexibility, decreasing the effort required to switch tasks [1].

L-tyrosine exhibits notable efficacy during periods of heightened cognitive demand or challenging situations, thus enhancing cognitive performance under stress [2].

Unlike most other products, which include only around 250 mg. of L-tyrosin, Testoprime instant energy, with its 1.5 grams, is much closer to the recommended dosage used in the research.

L-Taurine (1 g)

TestoPrime Instant Energy Ingredients

Caffeine and taurine work wonders for your energy levels when combined. The more taurine you take, the less caffeine you need to get the same performance enhancements [3].

Taurine, a crucial amino acid in brain function, has garnered interest for its potential cognitive benefits.

Research indicates that taurine’s levels and its transporters in the brain are linked to cognitive performance, suggesting its role in diagnosing and treating cognitive impairments. However, the precise mechanisms remain partially understood [14].

Studies across various conditions, including aging, Alzheimer’s disease, and brain damage from toxins, show that taurine supplementation can significantly enhance cognitive functions.

However, an increase in taurine levels during sensitive periods like the perinatal to early postnatal phase can cause cognitive retardation [14].

Taurine’s cognitive benefits are thought to arise from multiple mechanisms, such as restoring neurotransmitter functions, reducing neuroinflammation, enhancing antioxidant capacities, and improving mitochondrial biogenesis and synaptic function.

In aging mice, taurine supplementation has been shown to counteract age-related declines in spatial memory and cognitive functions, potentially through alterations in the GABAergic system [15].

Moreover, taurine’s effects on human endurance performance suggest it can enhance physical and cognitive endurance, with improvements observed with acute and chronic administration across various doses [4].

This body of evidence underscores taurine’s promising role in cognitive enhancement, mediated through complex and multifaceted mechanisms, yet calls for further research to fully elucidate its potential across different stages of life and mental conditions.

A 1-6 g dose before training can improve performance [4].

Acacia Fibre (200 mg)

Including 200mg of acacia fiber in the blend raises some eyebrows, given its benefits are primarily associated with gut health and appetite control rather than cognitive enhancement.

Although the full extent of acacia fiber’s health advantages remains somewhat unclear, there’s no evidence to suggest it directly benefits brain function.

However, it’s believed to offer relief for symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and possesses appetite-suppressing properties.

Such effects might indirectly support users of nootropics by mitigating potential gastrointestinal side effects, making its addition a preemptive measure for enhancing overall comfort and well-being for a subset of users who might experience digestive discomfort from supplementation.

L-Theanine (250 mg)

Another key ingredient to enhance and improve the effect of caffeine is L-theanine.

L-Theanine has a reputation for improving mental health, with research showing that it can combat stress and anxiety with daily doses of 200-400 mg [5][6].

L-Theanine’s ability to promote relaxation without sedation makes it essential for cognitive support, especially when stressed. When combined with coffee, a synergistic effect results in one of the original nootropic compositions.

Again, the dosage in Testoprime Instant Energy is within the recommended levels, unlike many other products that underdose it.

Caffeine Anhydrous (200 mg)

TestoPrime Instant Energy Reviews

We’ve all experienced the beneficial effects of caffeine. The morning coffee or energy drink helps us stay sharp, aware, and productive.

Caffeine anhydrous is a powerful form of caffeine derived from the seeds and foliage of coffee plants. The anhydrous part means it is in a powder form, which is how you usually find caffeine as an ingredient in nootropics and energy-boosting products.

The caffeine L-theanine combination in this product boosts both physical and cognitive function. Some advantages include improved reaction time, visual processing speed, working memory, alertness, and decreased tiredness and mental fatigue [7][8].

The research employs a 2:1 L-theanine to caffeine ratio. In Testoprime, we find a nearly 1:1 ratio with the 200 mg caffeine equivalent to two large cups of coffee.

Ashwagandha (200 mg)

Ashwagandha is an age-old herbal treatment used to treat various medical conditions. It has been shown in animal experiments to increase the amount of blood cells, potentially improving aerobic capacity [9].

It can also reduce lipid peroxidation and oxidative stress, which could help cure tardive dyskinesia [10].

Ashwagandha has also shown nootropic qualities and may be helpful in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease [11]. The extract’s daily recommended dosages range from 100 to 1250 mg [12] or 6 to 10 kg of ground roots [13].

Despite its overall safety, it should be used with caution, especially if you have hyperthyroidism or are pregnant. Excessive doses may cause sedation and stomach issues.

The 200 mg of Ashwagandha in Mind Vitality falls within the recommended range for improving cognitive advantages.

Choline Bitartrate (100 mg)

You can find choline, related to B vitamins, in foods including beans, eggs, fish, meat, and vegetables. The liver also naturally produces it, but most people don’t make enough of it to have much effect.

Not only does it help with memory and recall, but it can also boost motivation and concentration when used in large enough doses.

Testoprime Instant Energy includes 100 mg per serving, which should be enough to have a solid effect on your learning and focusing capabilities.

Vitamin B

The research into vitamin B’s role as a cognitive enhancer has explored its effects on cognitive decline and dementia, particularly focusing on older adults with varying levels of cognitive function.

Despite vitamin B’s ability to significantly lower total plasma homocysteine levels—a factor linked to increased risk of cognitive impairment—systematic reviews and meta-analyses of randomized placebo-controlled trials have not demonstrated a clear cognitive benefit from supplementation with vitamin B12, B6, or folic acid [16].

Across studies involving individuals with pre-existing cognitive impairment and those without any cognitive issues, vitamin B supplementation did not significantly improve cognitive performance, including Mini-Mental State Examination scores.

While a couple of trials hinted at a modest benefit for those with elevated homocysteine levels, the overall conclusion suggests no substantial evidence that lowering homocysteine with B vitamins prevents cognitive decline [17].

The research varied greatly in supplementation type, population, study quality, and duration, indicating a need for caution in interpreting these findings and acknowledging the limitations of the current evidence base.

Who Is Testoprime Instant Energy For

TestoPrime Instant Energy Benefits

Coffee Haters

Coffee is one of the most popular drinks around the globe, but not everyone enjoys the taste or can stomach it (quite literally). At the same time, caffeine is one of the most potent natural stimulants, and everyone can benefit from it.

Testoprime Instant Energy is perfect for people who enjoy the effects of caffeine but hate the taste of coffee.

With 200 g of caffeine per dose, Testoprime Instant Energy will give you a surge of energy similar to 2 cups of coffee. Further, some other ingredients will tone down the adverse effects of this power compound.

Busy Professionals

Professionals in physically and mentally challenging positions are often under a lot of stress, be it a project deadline, a race against the weather, or a literal race on the track. The Testoprime Instant Energy formula is targeted at everyone needing an energy boost.

The blend of substances works as an energy booster for physical activity thanks to the popular energy drink combo caffeine + taurine, but it also combines nootropics to boost brain function. The product is excellent for all busy professionals- from athletes to night shift workers, students, and business people.

Traveling Professionals

Another critical benefit of TestoPrime Instant Energy is that it comes in sachets. This is superior to free powder in a tub or pills because you can stash a few sachets in your bag, pocket, or car and have them nearby anytime without carrying a full tub or separate pill boxes.

This makes this product superior for people who are always on the go.

My Experience With Testoprime Instant Energy

TestoPrime vs TestoPrime Instant Energy

This is aptly named “Instant Energy.” It’s like an energy drink in a sachet but with additional nootropic ingredients for enhanced cognitive function. And you will feel instantly energized.

Taking Testoprime Instant Energy is like having an energy drink without the jitters, anxiety, and inevitable energy crash.

The caffeine and l-theanine stack provides smooth energy so you don’t feel overwhelmed. Additionally, if you’re using this as a pre-workout, taurine enhances performance synergistically with caffeine.

The orange and mango flavor, I wouldn’t say, is the nicest flavor. It has a synthetic taste, but you quickly get used to it.

Then again, I’ve never been a fan of orange and mango flavor anything so your experience may differ.

I wish they had other flavors, but you’re stuck with this for now.

User Reviews & Testimonials

TestoPrime Instant Energy Side Effects

The reviews of Testoprime Instant Energy are very positive, and almost everyone seems to enjoy the energy boost. With such a well-formulated list of ingredients and doses, this is not a surprise.

Here are a couple of reviews from their website:

“I’ve been drinking those “kid” energy drinks for years now. I had no idea there was an energy drink for adult men with real jobs (not ravers or dirt bike racers). 3 cheers for INSTANT ENERGY!”– Jason H.

“I work a full-time job, have a wife and 3 kids and I also perform live in the evenings. I drink Instant Energy at 5pm when I’m leaving my day job so I can stay sharp into the evening. I couldn’t do what I do without it!”- Chris D.

Testoprime Instant Energy Side Effects

If you’re sensitive to caffeine, 200 mg can cause anxiety and jitters. The L-theanine helps, but your mileage may vary. None of the other ingredients have reported side effects, and I experienced no adverse effects while taking TestoPrime Instant Energy.

Before starting any new supplement regimen, consult with a healthcare provider, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions or are taking other medications. This ensures the supplement is safe and suitable for your health needs.

Testoprime Instant Energy Alternatives

Pre Lab Pro

Pre Lab Pro Nootropic Pre Workout

Pre Lab Pro distinguishes itself in the growing market of nootropic pre-workouts by blending cognitive-enhancing nootropics with ingredients that boost physical performance, such as strength, endurance, and blood flow.

Specifically designed for those sensitive to caffeine, it combines a modest dose of caffeine with L-theanine to sharpen focus without inducing jitteriness.

The supplement’s blend, while innovative, features ingredients with mixed scientific support. L-citrulline and L-glutathione are highlighted for their potential to increase blood flow, whereas red beet powder and Himalayan pink salt aim to enhance recovery and hydration.

L-tyrosine is included for its cognitive benefits under stress, though its dosage in the product is less than the effective range typically recommended for cognitive improvement.

Although its unique taste and higher price tag compared to other nootropic powders are notable drawbacks.

I share my experience in my Pre Lab Pro review.

Alpha Brain Black Label

Alpha Brain Black Label

Onnit’s Alpha Brain is a very popular nootropic supplement that claims to enhance cognitive performance. Alpha Brain Black Label is a more potent, caffeine-containing variant, while the original is stimulant-free.

Its usefulness varies depending on the user, with some questioning its efficacy due to potentially underdosed components. At the same time, Alpha Brain is not cheap.

The peer-reviewed trials completed on Alpha Brain, funded by Onnit, show benefits in delayed verbal recall and executive functioning, although potential bias in these studies is concerning.

You can read our in-depth breakdown in our Alpha Brain review.

NooCube is gaining attention as a brain-boosting supplement, with users reporting significant cognitive improvements.

The supplement is known for its scientifically backed ingredients, such as Bacopa Monnieri, L-Theanine, and Panax Ginseng, which are associated with enhanced brain function, mental energy, and cognitive performance without the use of stimulants like caffeine.

This makes NooCube a favorable option for those seeking to improve focus, memory, and brain health without the common side effects associated with caffeine consumption.

However, the effectiveness of NooCube can vary among individuals, and its relatively high cost, alongside the commitment required to take two capsules daily, may deter some users.

Additionally, while the ingredients have been subject to research, NooCube’s specific formula has not been tested in long-term clinical studies, leaving some questions about its extended efficacy.

Given the absence of stimulants, NooCube presents a unique choice for those sensitive to caffeine or looking for a non-stimulant cognitive enhancer.

For those in high-pressure professions, students, aging individuals, or gamers seeking cognitive enhancement, NooCube offers a promising option, especially considering its safety profile and lack of significant side effects reported by users.
