THE ORIGINAL ORIGINAL

Aterm that’s becoming a bit confusing around here of late is the word “Original”. Not so many people may know this but Revgear have been producing equipment for Boxing, MMA, Krav Maga and Kickboxing since 1996. So when we became due for a bit of a revamp in 2015, in preparation for the brands 20th anniversary, we redesigned the first ever boxing glove REVGEAR made: which became known as the Original a few years later. But this is not where it ends.

“The core sports REVGEAR produce for which have never really had an identity in the RG range before which make up the skills for Mixed Martial Arts are now seen as the “Origins” of Mixed Martial Arts. We decided to use an updated version of the first Revgear logo, produce some new lines specifically for those sports and give them an identity that makes sense. Its been so well received in Europe and after California Series was launched at RGU in 2016 with much of the Original branding incorporated we saw instant popularity in the USA too” Alex Wright; European Director

So we have the “Original” logo which is actually updated version of the first logo, the Original ranges such as Thai Original and also the Original boxing glove, I think its more confusing for us than the public though as the story of the brand is not why people buy the gear. they buy the gear simply because its great quality and is looking sharp for 2017!
