Anyone who has trained in Muay Thai will know that Thai made equipment is on the whole great quality. There is definitely something about it especially with key products such as Shin Guards and shorts that just don’t seem to be the same if they are not from the home of Muay Thai.

In 2017 REVGEAR returns to Thailand to produce the Original Thai Range: a new range of gear which includes key products such as shins, gloves, belly pads, Thai kick pads and of course Thai shorts that will satisfy even the most ardent Muay Thai fans – the gear is 100% authentic Thai made.

We have been producing for Muay Thai for a lot of years including the Master Toddy range back in 2010 which was excellent. We really wanted to put something together that satisfied the real hard core of the Thai Boxing community. We believe the only way to truly do that is to return to the heart of the sport and produce the range there!

With the support of Kickboxing and Muay Thai events such as Revgear Tournament of Champions in IOWA and Duel Grand Prix in the UK the brand is quickly developing a strong following within the Muay Thai community on both sides of the Atlantic.

The success of the Thai made Original shin guard released in Europe in 2016 pretty much paved the way for a new generation of products made in Thailand. The Defender Shin guard is a good staple product for modern stand up fighters but lacked what was really at the heart of Muay Thai; the Muay Thai Style glove is a definite style now and where better to produce it than in Thailand. The leather is different and anyone who is currently using one of the famous Thai brands will feel at home putting on the new gloves.

With the new Muay Thai shorts showcased at the recent Duel Grand Prix event in Newcastle, England with top names such as Chris Shaw and Mo Abduraman giving them the thumbs up, its a almost a foregone conclusion that the REVGEAR brand is gaining acceptance in areas often locked off to Western brands!
