FIGHT STORIES: THE COACH – EDDIE CHA
THE COACH – EDDIE CHA
Eddie Cha is one of many top flight MMA coaches whose influence is felt far beyond the walls of the gym. At the famous MMA LAB, in Glendale, Arizona, Eddie Cha coaches some of the best mixed martial arts talent in the world. Training toward the next fight, he lives this day in, day out.
Eddie’s profile on The MMA LAB website says it all.
Eddie has been training Martial Arts since the age of five. Cha’s philosophy is based on the Asian core values of loyalty, respect, and honor. His unique understanding of Muay Thai and Western Boxing gives him an unprecedented advantage when it comes to the stand-up game.
Cha’s classes give each student an inside glimpse of the same techniques, theories, and methods. Before Eddie joined us at The MMA LAB, he owned a very successful gym, All In MMA, in Buena Park, California. He was responsible for training his regular student clientele and professional fighters who have competed all over the world in Bellator, UFC, OneFC and various other smaller promotions.
Eddie harbours serious ambitions of winning UFC and Bellator gold with several of his top name students. Fighters such as Benson Henderson, Alex Caceres, Henry Corales, Courtney Casey and many more, each of whom rely on Eddie’s knowledge every day.
Eddie’s work as a coach has both similarities and differences with the thousands of mixed martial arts coaches all over the world, but at its essence, it is the same work as every coach in the fight business.
