Two often talked-about options are PhenQ and Golo, each offering unique approaches to helping shed those extra pounds. While both claim to support healthy weight loss, their formulas and methods cater to different needs and lifestyles.
PhenQ takes a multifaceted approach, aiming to burn fat, suppress appetite, and boost energy, making it a popular choice for those seeking all-around support.
On the other hand, Golo focuses on regulating blood sugar levels and enhancing metabolism naturally, appealing to individuals looking for a more holistic solution.
Quick Verdict
PhenQ is the undisputed winner in the comparison with Golo Release. The more comprehensive formulation tackles five different areas of weight management, providing a holistic solution for anyone willing also to pour effort into their lifestyle choice.
Golo Release is underdosed and focuses mostly on insulin resistance. This approach is not bad and can work for some people, but as an all-around weight loss supplement, it’s nowhere near PhenQ’s level.

PhenQ has a 5 stage multi-faceted approach to weight loss, making it one of the most effective over-the-counter fat-burning supplements. It helped me lose 20 lbs.
Golo Release is a poorly formulated fat burner and not as effective as the PhenQ formulation.
What Is PhenQ?
PhenQ is a weight loss supplement designed to target multiple aspects of weight management. It takes a comprehensive approach by combining fat-burning, appetite suppression, and energy-boosting properties into one formula.
Unlike many single-purpose supplements, PhenQ focuses on delivering multi-dimensional support, making it appealing to individuals looking for broad-spectrum effectiveness in their journey toward healthier living.
Wolfson Brands, a prominent firm known for its scientific approach to health and wellness goods, manufactures PhenQ.
Based in the United Kingdom, Wolfson Brands promotes openness and rigorous quality control to ensure that PhenQ meets high manufacturing standards.
My PhenQ review goes into detail how I lost 20 lbs in 3 weeks.
What Is Golo Release?
Golo Release is a dietary supplement designed to support metabolic health while targeting weight loss at its roots.
Unlike traditional weight management products, it addresses insulin resistance, a central factor in energy regulation and fat storage.
As a key part of the Golo for Life plan, Golo Release integrates seamlessly into everyday routines thanks to its simple capsule form. Its blend of natural plant extracts and minerals sets it apart as a holistic approach catering to those focused on metabolic efficiency.
PhenQ vs. Golo Main Differences
Benefits
PhenQ delivers a wide range of benefits by addressing multiple aspects of weight management. It helps burn fat through mechanisms like thermogenesis and controls appetite to prevent overeating.
Including components like Nopal and chromium picolinate, PhenQ helps curb appetite and reduce cravings, making it easier to maintain a calorie deficit.
Another key benefit PhenQ provides is the energy boost, which helps fight off the fatigue that often comes with calorie deficits. This makes it a good choice for those juggling busy schedules while trying to manage their weight.
In contrast, Golo’s benefits lie in its ability to support metabolic health by tackling insulin resistance, a significant factor for many struggling with weight loss. I appreciate Golo’s focus on a holistic method that prioritizes long-term health by regulating blood sugar levels.
This makes Golo more appealing to individuals who prefer natural, sustainable weight loss methods while still allowing flexibility in their dietary choices.
Ingredients
PhenQ contains various active compounds intended to address multiple elements of weight management.
PhenQ’s key ingredient is ?-Lacys Reset, a proprietary alpha-lipoic acid and cysteine blend. This substance is claimed to improve metabolism and thermogenesis [8].
Capsimax Powder, a blend of capsicum, piperine, caffeine, and niacin, is included to promote thermogenesis and fat oxidation.
Capsimax Powder, a combination of capsicum, piperine, caffeine, and niacin, boosts thermogenesis and fat burning.
Cayenne pepper extract contains capsaicin, an active component that increases metabolism and calorie burn [6]. Capsaicin also reduces hunger by inducing sensations of fullness.
Piperine, the active component of black pepper, increases nutrient absorption rates, allowing the body to better use the supplement’s components [1].
Chromium picolinate controls blood sugar levels and lowers food cravings. PhenQ contains 80 mcg per dose, which is less than the ideal 200-1,000 mcg level recommended by research for effective appetite suppression and weight loss.
Caffeine Anhydrous comes in a 150 mg dose (roughly 1 and 1/2 cups of coffee, providing a moderate boost in energy and thermogenesis [7].
PhenQ also contains Innoslim, a blend of Astragalus membranaceous and Panax notoginseng extracts. Innoslim has been demonstrated to increase adiponectin levels, which regulate glucose and fatty acid metabolism [5].
PhenQ also includes a B vitamin complex. Vitamin B12 is necessary for energy maintenance, whereas B6 aids in metabolizing lipids, proteins, and carbohydrates. [2][3]
Now, let’s see what Glovo’s components have to offer.
Magnesium is part of GLovo’s formulation. The mineral plays a vital role in over 300 biochemical reactions in the body, so it’s a good addition [9]. However, 45 mg is very far from the effective doses.
Zinc is another essential mineral included in the Golo Release formulation. Smaller zinc doses have shown possible long-term benefits for blood glucose control, which aligns with Glovo’s promises. The dose is 30 milligrams, which is close to the upper daily limit of 40 mg [10].
Chromium is another trace mineral found in the Golo Release. A 210 microgram dose provides 600% of the DV daily [11].
Chromium increases insulin sensitivity and influences glucose, protein, and lipid metabolism.
Rhodiola is also a powerful adaptogen in Golo, which could improve endurance and reduce fatigue [12].
Inositol, a carbohydrate identical in structure to glucose, can have various roles in the body, including acting as a precursor for signaling molecules that impact insulin activity [13].
Berberine, a plant component, has long been used in traditional medicine. It is known for its potential impact on blood glucose levels [14].
Golo Release contains 297 mg per capsule, and according to recent research, effective daily doses usually approach 1 gram.
The supplement also contains gardenia extract in a concentration of 10:1, which may add antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties to the supplement [15][16].
The rest of the Golo ingredients are Banaba, Salacia, and apple extracts, all of which contribute to the supplement’s benefits for blood sugar regulation and carbohydrate absorption prevention.
Effectiveness
PhenQ proves effective for those aiming for rapid fat-burning and comprehensive weight loss support. Its ability to suppress appetite and boost energy is particularly beneficial when following a calorie-restricted plan.
Many users report noticeable changes within a few weeks, especially if they combine PhenQ with exercise and a proper diet.
My results exceeded expectations. The test period coincided with a period when I was extra strict with my diet and training, and after a month, the scale showed minus 20 lbs.
Golo’s effectiveness shines in areas related to overall metabolic health. Its focus on insulin sensitivity and blood sugar regulation often results in gradual but sustainable weight loss.
While the results may not be as quick as PhenQ’s, Golo’s metabolic focus may offer longer-lasting benefits for those who struggle with weight gain linked to insulin resistance.
While the formulation is decent, my personal experience with the product showed little to no effectiveness, but it may be much better suited for people with poorer insulin sensitivity.
Clinical Research
Both supplements claim to be rooted in science but differ in the type of research backing them. PhenQ’s formulation involves ingredients scientifically studied for weight management, such as caffeine and capsaicin’s role in thermogenesis.
Other ingredients like chromium picolinate and Capsimax powder also have scientific evidence tied to appetite suppression and increasing calorie burn.
Research on the main ingredient, a-Lacys Reset, has shown that alpha-lipoic acid, one of its primary components, helps break down carbs effectively and supports energy production.
Golo relies heavily on its patented Release supplement, which is promoted for its metabolism-enhancing properties.
While many key components of Golo Release have scientific support for aiding insulin sensitivity, the proprietary blend lacks large-scale, independent clinical trials.
In my view, those more inclined toward evidence-backed supplements might gravitate toward PhenQ.
Side Effects
When discussing the side effects of PhenQ and Glovo Release, it is crucial to consider the individual components of each supplement. PhenQ, a popular weight management supplement, often garners attention due to its blend of ingredients like caffeine, nopal cactus, and chromium picolinate. These elements are generally considered safe but can lead to mild side effects in some individuals.
For example, the caffeine content may trigger jitters, headaches, or sleep disturbances, especially in those sensitive to stimulants. Additionally, digestive discomfort such as bloating or nausea has been reported by some users, likely due to the fiber-rich nopal ingredient.
Golo’s natural formula makes it relatively free of severe side effects, but I found concerns about its proprietary blend.
Users might experience mild reactions such as stomach upset or headaches without clear dosage transparency. Also, as with any dietary supplement, an overdependence on Golo without lifestyle changes will limit its effectiveness.
User Reviews
User reviews for PhenQ and Glovo Release provide insights into these supplements’ effectiveness and associated experiences.
PhenQ is generally praised for its noticeable impact on weight loss, with many users reporting reduced appetite, increased energy levels, and gradual progress toward their fitness goals.
The thermogenic and fat-burning effects seem to work well for individuals following a consistent diet and exercise plan.
However, some users highlight drawbacks, such as experiencing jitteriness, headaches, or digestive issues, particularly in the early stages of use.
A subset of users also mentioned limited results, attributing this to variations in individual metabolism.
Glovo Release, on the other hand, receives positive feedback for its calming properties and ability to help manage stress while supporting metabolic health.
Many users appreciate the blend of adaptogens, which reportedly improve mood and resilience to daily stressors. Some also note improved sleep quality and a modest boost in energy levels.
Negative reviews typically mention minimal or delayed weight loss results and occasional side effects like dry mouth or stomach discomfort. Users who saw the best outcomes combined the supplement with a balanced lifestyle.

My Experience with PhenQ and Golo Release Pills
PhenQ’s versatile formula distinguishes itself as an effective option for long-term weight management. Within the first week, I experienced a noticeable, steady reduction in hunger.
The appetite suppression was not overpowering but worked well to keep unnecessary snacking at bay, particularly between meals.
One of the standout features for me was the synergy of the ingredients, especially a-Lacys Reset. This component appeared to enhance my metabolism at a consistent pace, delivering results without leaving me feeling jittery or overstimulated.
The fat-burning effects were impactful. Over the course of four weeks, I lost about 20 pounds—far exceeding the typical average of five to ten pounds per month that the product advertises.
Another highlight was how PhenQ supported stable energy levels throughout the day. Unlike other weight loss supplements that often cause energy spikes followed by crashes, PhenQ offers a reliable and sustained boost.
This made it easier to stay focused and maintain my workout routine alongside my daily activities.
Overall, PhenQ impressed me with its ability to deliver gradual yet significant results while avoiding common pitfalls like overstimulation or energy dips. Its balanced approach made it a valuable companion in my weight loss journey.
After hearing about the potential weight loss benefits of Golo Release pills, I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming.
I followed the instructions meticulously, hoping the pills would help curb my cravings and enhance my metabolism.
Despite several weeks of consistent use, the results were disappointing. I noticed no significant changes in weight, energy levels, or appetite suppression, which the product promises to deliver.
One important detail to consider is that I did not adhere to the full Golo diet plan, which is designed to work in tandem with the pills.
Instead, I maintained a different diet and training routine, much more in line with my goals. This deviation from the recommended regimen may have influenced my lack of progress, but even as a standalone supplement, the pills fell short of expectations.
Beyond the absence of weight loss results, I also experienced uncomfortable side effects. Digestive issues, including bloating and a sluggish feeling, became frequent, making it harder to stay active and stick to my regular workouts.
This was especially disheartening, as I had hoped the supplement would support, not hinder, my fitness efforts.
In the end, Golo Release did not live up to its claims, at least in my experience. Without following the complete program, the benefits were nonexistent, and the side effects were a notable drawback. I wouldn’t recommend these pills, especially if you’re not committed to the entire Golo system.
Should You Choose PhenQ or Golo?
The choice is easy, given the remarkable results I enjoyed with PhenQ and the zero progress I made with Golo Release. PhenQ’s multi-pronged formulation is much more comprehensive and can help a wider variety of people who need to reach their weight and fitness goals.
Golo has a thoughtful formulation, but the doses of some of the main components are hidden behind a proprietary blend, which usually means they are insufficient. Given the underwhelming performance, I am confident this is also the case here.
The only advantage Golo has is the lowest price. It may be better suited to those with blood sugar and insulin resistance issues. For everyone else, PhenQ is a much better choice and gives you a higher chance of hitting your weight goals.
