Everyday Dose and Four Sigmatic are two of the most popular mushroom coffees on Amazon. Which meant I had to get my hands on them and see if they lived up to the hype.
Quick Verdict
Four Sigmatic and Everyday Dose have almost identical blends of caffeine, Lion’s Mane, and chaga mushrooms, which deliver energy and focus. However, Everyday Dose also has a solid dose of collagen peptides, making it potentially more beneficial.
However, Four Sigmatic tastes much better, which is an essential feature of something you drink every morning. The price is roughly the same, so I suggest trying both and seeing which you like better.
The third option, my personal choice, is Nootrum Coffee Fusion, which contains a bigger dose of coffee and mushrooms at a comparable price.

Winner
Based on my testing and ingredient breakdown, neither Everyday Dose nor Four Sigmatic is as effective as Nootrum Coffee Fusion. Nootrum is a potent mushroom coffee without the horrible taste associated with high doses of mushrooms.
What Is Four Sigmatic Mushroom Coffee
Four Sigmatic is a health and wellness brand created by Tero Isokauppila, who was raised on a Finnish farm owned by the family for 13 generations and has used the family knowledge to create different products, most notably their mushroom coffee.
Four Sigmatic takes its name from the “four sigma” statistical concept, which refers to Earth’s top 100 most nutrient-dense foods.
The company uses some foods, including highly beneficial medicinal mushrooms such as Lion’s Mane and Chaga, to develop practical and enjoyable products promoting health and wellness.

What is Everyday Dose
Everyday Dose is a premium mushroom coffee business committed to providing the highest quality mushroom products made entirely from fruiting body extract.
Their products are thoroughly tested for beta-glucans, heavy metals, allergens, and mycotoxins to verify that no additional starch, mycelium, or grain is present.
Everyday Dose emphasizes the superiority of their extraction methods, which include hot water and alcohol extraction to boost the bioavailability of therapeutic ingredients, including beta-D glucans and triterpenes.

Four Sigmatic vs. Everyday Dose Main Differences
Benefits
Mushroom coffees aim to replace standard coffee with a healthy alternative.
Coffee is not unhealthy, but not everyone’s body agrees with it, and side effects can prevent some people from reaping the benefits, which is why alternatives like mushroom coffees exist.
Everyday Dose and Four Sigmatic’s primary goal is to deliver an energy boost without the negative side effects of conventional coffee hence they contain far less caffeine.
Another notable advantage is that they blend coffee with other substances, such as medicinal mushrooms, herbs, and plants, greatly enhancing the potential for various health benefits in addition to the energy boost.
Both beverages contain fully organic ingredients and are GMO and gluten-free. Everyday Dose contains collagen peptides and is unsuitable for vegans, while Four Sigmatic has no animal-derived ingredients.
Everyday Dose can also be purchased with a starter pack, which includes useful items such as a frother, recipe booklet, and spoon. Both provide free shipping in the United States.
Ingredients
Four Sigmatic and Everyday Dose do not specify the individual doses of the components, so we must guess precisely how much of each is inside based on the total serving size and the order in which the ingredients are listed inside.
Four Sigmatic includes organic arabica coffee, and each serving contains 50 mg of caffeine, roughly half of a regular cup of espresso. The effects of the world’s most popular stimulant include increased energy, attentiveness, and countless other health benefits [1].
Everyday Dose also contains coffee and delivers 45 mg of caffeine per serving.
Both blends include the Lion’s Mane mushroom, which can improve brain health and function, cognitive performance, brain cell growth, blood flow to brain cells, attention, memory, focus, combat brain fog, mental decline, and other mental health problems [5].
The efficacious dose of Lion’s mane is 1000 mg, which is not matched by either product. Everyday Dose has a 2275 mg blend of coffee, L-theanine, and two mushrooms, so the amount is likely around 500 mg.
Four Sigmatic’s 2500 mg dose is split between coffee, two mushrooms, and Rhodiola, so Lion’s mane content is, at best, around 500 mg.
Both coffees also contain chaga, which is rich in compounds that provide benefits such as stimulating the digestive and immunological systems, enhancing attention and energy, lowering blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and preventing or curing cell mutation, fatigue, and certain chronic illnesses and somatic disorders [2][3].
The dosages of Chaga in the two products are likely relatively equal.
Everyday Dose contains 4725 mg of collagen peptides.
These peptides can offer tremendous benefits, such as Improving wound healing, gut function, blood clotting, and muscle growth and maintenance; maintaining the eyes, joints, bones, and skin healthy and working properly; decreasing cellulite; and boosting cartilage and connective tissue growth and repair [4].
However, studies show that you may need up to 10 grams daily, twice as much as in Everyday Dose.
The product also contains L-theanine, which is well known to promote calmness and relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, and enhance focus and sleep quality [6].
L-theanine is part of the mushroom blend, and it is possible to be in efficacious doses.
The final ingredient in Four Sigmatic is Rhodiola Extract, which can help prevent or treat stress, anxiety, sadness, mental fatigue, and inflammation, improve mental energy levels, brain health, attention, cognitive function, metabolic processes, concentration, and mood, and combat certain illnesses [7].
Taste
The taste of Everyday Dose was the biggest hurdle for me to permanently incorporate into my morning routine.
The mushroom’s unpleasant, earthy undertones took some getting used to. Despite using a frother to mix it fully and adding my favorite creamer, I had to force myself to like the flavor rather than looking forward to it every morning.
Four Sigmatic tastes much better to me. I brewed it hot in a French press, then tried conventional brewing with cold water, and the results were consistent. While it may take some getting accustomed to, it tastes significantly better than many other mushroom coffees.
Both leave minimal sediment on the bottom, which is not the case for most mushroom coffees, so this is definitely an advantage for these two.
Clinical Research
The two products contain only well-researched ingredients, such as coffee, Lion’s mane and chaga mushrooms, L-theanine, and others.
The effects are well documented, and the compounds’ safety is proven for most people, so you can rest assured you are not drinking some experimental substances.
Both products also have numerous certifications and third-party testing marks, which is expected since they are aimed at health-conscious people who are mindful of what they put in their bodies.
Side Effects
Four Sigmatic and Everyday Dose contain coffee beans but in much lower amounts than regular coffee. They have around 50 mg of caffeine per cup, which significantly lowers the chance of having caffeine-related adverse effects such as anxiety or an energy crash.
After all, mushroom coffee’s main selling point is that it provides an energy boost without side effects.
Other potential side effects stem from the mushroom mixtures. The two products include Lion’s Mane and Chaga, which can cause gastrointestinal discomfort such as bloating, gas, or pain.
People who have never eaten medicinal mushrooms are more likely to develop gastrointestinal troubles, although even if you do, they disappear quickly.
My experience with the two coffees has been clean, and I didn’t experience any problems.
User Reviews
Customers have given Everyday Dose Mushroom Coffee an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars.
When skimming through the positive reviews, it was repeatedly said that the product tasted delicious, was easy to mix, and provided benefits such as increased attention, mental clarity, energy levels, and less brain fog. Many customers also appreciated the extra goods included in the starter kit.
Negative reviews typically indicate that it is expensive compared to the benefits or provides no benefits at all.
There were also complaints regarding the poor texture, aftertaste, flavor, and possible side effects.
The user evaluations for Four Sigmatic Think appear to be really positive. Based on approximately 18,000 reviews, the product has a 4.3 out of 5-star rating on Amazon.
When assessing the positive feedback, the most popular remarks were regarding its low price and “delicious” taste, whether with or without milk or sugar, hot or cold.
However, there were plenty of negative reviews. These felt more telling than the positive ones because they centered on how the mushroom coffee affected them. Many claimed it did nothing and was less effective than a cup of coffee.

My Experience With Four Sigmatic And Everyday Dose
After the initial test period, neither of the two products remained part of my morning routine.
I tried Four Sigmatic instead of regular coffee in the morning, which increased my energy levels to a lesser extent.
I haven’t felt more focused or mindful. Of course, the blend may have improved some aspects of my health, but it was not in areas I could notice.
At the very least, the taste was solid. I enjoyed sipping a cup every morning, although sometimes I missed my regular coffee.
Similarly, Everyday Dose did not bring any game-changing benefits. The energy boost was mild and less than a cup of coffee. The promise of the absence of jitters and energy crashes was kept, but that’s about the extent of the noticeable benefits.
Unlike Four Sigmatic, though, Everyday Dose was much harder for me to drink because of the taste.
Should You Choose Four Sigmatic Or Everyday Dose?
Both Everyday Dose and Four Sigmatic contain potent ingredients that can deliver various health benefits while boosting energy and productivity in the morning.
However, the effects are not as strong or noticeable as I would like, and the less-than-pleasant taste made me revert to other products, like regular coffee or Nootrum Coffee Fusion.
Nevertheless, Everyday Dose and Four Sigmatic have many fans and loyal customers, so I recommend trying them before deciding if they are worth it.
I tested many brands and products to find my favorite mushroom coffee, Nootrum Coffee Fusion, which has a much more potent blend than either of the coffees in this comparison.
