TTwenty Years in the boxing and martial arts business, we’ve seen trends come and go. But ever since Velcro gloves became popular, the virtues of laces became refined almost exclusively at one time to the professional market. Revgear has produced professional lace up gloves, mainly designed for competition since the early days and alongside classics like the “Powerhouse” lace up bag glove. But the resurgence of boxing as a sport combined with a major interest from the mixed martial arts community, the sweet science has seen an increased demand for more top end professional boxing equipment. So in 2016 we decided to take one of our best and most successful sparring glove designs and retro fit it. Enter the S4.

Taking many of the design concepts of the hugely popular S3 such as the tight fight, soft leather and excellent fit, as well as some elements graphically, the S4 required a redesign. One of the requirements for a top of the line professional boxers sparring glove, is to make sure it would stand up to the best in the world.

In terms of the look of the glove, it has very much a blend of vintage feel with modern innovations. Down to the retro looking red and blue versions with the famous Revgear “R” logo across the right hand, bringing its vintage versus modern theme right to the fore.

Prototypes released for testing have already received glowing reports, with several boxers comparing the glove to the famous Grant sparring glove in particular.

Its anticipated release is late spring in the forefront of the new REVGEAR Boxing range!
