He has been grappling for around 20 years and had a brief professional MMA career in which he won all his fights by submission. Scott has had a sublime high-level professional grappling career, with multiple wins at top tournaments. He was Chuck Liddell’s Jiu Jitsu and strength coach, as well as the Jiu Jitsu coach for team Liddell on Ultimate Fighter season 11.
Here, Scott demonstrates stoner control to back.
Like with the stoner control to foot lock, the move starts from the failed electric chair. If your opponent stays where he is, rather than rolling with you, which could bring you into a side control position, you are able to take his back. You need to slowly climb over him and then get high up on his back. Relinquish the lock down. Put in your right arm over your opponent’s shoulder, giving you an over under with a gable grip. Get your hooks in and now you have your opponent’s back and can start to work a submission. This is a simple, yet effective technique that brings you into a great position of dominance.
