Quick Verdict

Animal Pak is one of the most popular supplements for pro athletes, bodybuilders, and men demanding the best product. The formulation is comprehensive and potent and covers all aspects of male health and performance.

The downside is the 8-tablet dose and the high price. Opti-Men is a good product in its own right and has been beneficial for me, but it has half the dose of Animal Pak for almost the same price, which I don’t think is justified.

The third option is to use Prime Male T-vitamins, which delivers better results to Animal Pak. However, you’ll need to consume only 4 tablets daily instead of 8.

Opti Men vs. Animal Pak Main Differences

Benefits

As these are multivitamins for men, Animal Pak and Opti Men have many benefits. Multivitamins, in general, aim to deliver the essential micronutrients to the body, many of which are hard to come by in optimal levels from food alone.

By obtaining all the vitamins, minerals, and amino acids the body needs, you can experience elevated energy levels, better immune support, hormonal support, digestive health, and many other benefits.

Men’s specific multivitamins like these two also aim to provide compounds crucial for building muscle, recovering from exercise, and improving fitness in general.

For example, Animal Pak has always been aimed more at bodybuilders and serious athletes, hence the giant ingredients list and huge dose. The function of Opti Men is the same, and the product is built for active men looking to develop and maintain great health and fitness levels.

Ingredients

The ingredients list of Animal Pak and Opti-men are comprehensive and super extensive, so we will not go over each individually. Opti-men has 75 active ingredients distributed in 3 tablets per serving, while Animal Pak has 60. It also boasts the highest single serving of any supplement I’ve tried with 8 tablets.

Despite the giant ingredient lists, both products list each component’s exact dosage, which is highly commendable.

The ingredients in Animal Pak are divided into 8 complexes (one per tablet): Vitamin, Amino Acid, Liver Detox, Protein, Performance, Antioxidant, Digestive Enzyme and Absorption, and Energy and Focus complex.

The vitamin complex contains a ton of vitamins and minerals in high doses, all vital for different body functions.

Opti Men includes roughly the same vitamins, but the doses are usually at least twice lower than in the Animal Pak, and for some compounds, the difference can be up to four times. So, Animal Pak is definitely the more potent product regarding vitamin amounts.

The Animal Pak amino complex contains Alanine, Arginine, Aspartic Acid, Cysteine, Glutamic Acid, Glycine, Glutamine, Hydroxyproline, Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Proline, Serie, Threonine, Tryptophan, Tyrosine, Valine, and Ornithine, which is a big plus for athletes.

Opti men also contains some of these amino acids but trails behind in number and doses.

The Liver Detox complex in Animal Pak includes Milk Thistle Seed, Hawthorne berry, Beetroot, and Turmeric root, and the complex name clearly indicates the purpose of these herbs.

The Performance Complex contains ingredients promoting performance and shorter recovery times, such as Eleutherococcus Senticosus, L-taurine, Choline Bitartrate, Inositol, Carnitine, and Haematococcus Pluvialis Whole Microalgae. The ingredients choices here is solid, but not all doses are optimal.

The antioxidant complex contains Spectra, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Spirulina Platensis, Chlorella spp, Grape Seed Extract, Coenzyme Q10, Lutein, and Lycopene, and almost every one of them is proven to be a powerful antioxidant.

An important part of the Animal Pak blend is the Energy and Focus Blend, which has a good selection of ingredients like L-tyrosine, Green Tea Leaf Extract, D-glucuronolactone, Cocoa Bean Powder, and ginkgo biloba. All of them will enhance your focus, concentration, and mental performance.

Opti Men’s ingredients are plenty, but the doses are often far too low to be truly effective, which is why I have paid more attention to Animal Pak in this paragraph.

Effectiveness

Animal Pak is definitely the more effective multivitamin. This is easily determined by the 8 tablets compared to the 3 of Opti-Men. Looking at the ingredients in detail, we find an even larger discrepancy in the dosages of many components, again in favor of Animal Pak.

Opti-Men is a solid supplement for men, and I have felt my energy increase while taking it, but it lags in direct comparison to Animal Pak.

Clinical Research

The two products take advantage of modern science and are jam-packed with components proven to be beneficial. You will find ingredients with benefits across all areas of health, physical, and mental performance, all supported by clinical studies.

There are some more speculative ingredients across the two products, lacking concrete proof of their effectiveness, but the majority of components are well-researched.

Regarding third-party testing, Opti Men and Animal Pak carry all the mandatory marks and certifications. But after all, the two manufacturers are among the giants on the supplement market, and their products are always trustworthy.

Side Effects

Containing almost 100 ingredients each, there is a chance you might experience some side effects, at least initially. Most people do not have issues, but you may get an allergic reaction if you are allergic to specific compounds.

The most common adverse effects are stomach issues, which can be caused by a number of ingredients, especially those in higher concentrations.

I’ve stressed a few times how Animal Pak has higher doses of many ingredients. Still, Opti Men also has some serious amounts of specific substances, such as Lutein, Riboflavin, and Niacin, which are known to cause side effects if consumed in excess of the recommended daily intake.

My experience with Animal Pak has been trouble-free, while Opti-Men gave me some slight stomach discomfort. I was a bit surprised as I expected it to be the other way around.

User Reviews

When you look at online review scores for Opti Men, it appears to be an excellent product. Based on reviews from verified Amazon customers, it currently has an exceptional 4.6 out of 5-star rating.

When you examine the positive reviews, many consumers say it gives them a bit more energy, is of good quality and easy to take, and gives them peace of mind that adding it to their daily routine will fill nutrient gaps from a poor diet.

However, there are no reviews from people who believe that using it has benefited their general health in any meaningful way.

Regarding the negative reviews, there were a few important issues to be mindful of. Most of the negative reviews stated that it had no benefit to their health, and some also claimed that it caused adverse effects.

Animal Pak Multivitamin has a 4.7/5 star rating, and many people recommend it.

Again, Trustpilot has little to offer, with numerous reviews providing flawless rankings, which is suspicious and suggests some sort of incentive to encourage this behavior.

Some bad reviews primarily focus on the inconvenience of taking so many tablets.

Generally, Animal Pak is perhaps the most preferred premium multivitamin supplement for men and is very well regarded.

My Experience With Opti Men And Animal Pak

I was excited to try Animal Pak, as I hadn’t used it for years, and my test period brought solid results. I had more energy and generally felt better while taking the pills. Despite having people with colds and flu around me, I didn’t get ill during that time, so I assume the immune effects are also strong.

The downside to Animal Pak is the dose. I was excited initially because I was almost expecting miracles from the 8 tables per day, but as time passed by, taking so many pills at once started to become a chore, while the results were not as groundbreaking as I had hoped for.

Opti Men also raised my energy and overall sense of well-being, which is to be expected from such a comprehensive ingredients list. However, the effect was not as noticeable as it was with the Animal Pak, and I also experienced some stomach discomfort along the way.

Should You Choose Opti Men Or Animal Pak?

Animal Pak is certainly the better and more potent supplement. It has the single biggest serving among its competitors, and it gets the doses right for almost all ingredients, which is a remarkable feat given the absurd number of them.

Naturally, it’s also the most expensive supplement of its kind. The hassle of taking 8 pills every day and the hefty price are worth it for serious athletes, bodybuilders, or men who are under really high physical and mental stress and want the best support possible.

Opti-Men is not a bad product; many people love it, but the price is unjustified. The $1.06 per serving cost is too much for a product with so many underdosed ingredients. Quantity may be there, but quality is not on par.

If the price and the dose of Animal Pak are a bit too much for you, I recommend Prime Male Vitality multivitamins. They have fewer ingredients, but in my experience, I got the same result as Animal Pak with half the dose and a slightly lower price.
