Thesis Nootropics is a company specializing in cognitive performance products and was launched in 2017. The brand takes a unique approach to nootropics, allowing you to select from a variety of formulations based on your brain chemistry and demands.

There are six pre-made blends, each with a unique function, and you may mix and match to find what works best for you.

Vyvamind vs. Thesis Main Differences

Benefits

Vyvamind uses caffeine and L-theanine to quickly boost energy and mental ability. The combination of all ingredients improves focus, decreases tension and anxiety, and delays mental fatigue in both the short and long run.

The six Thesis blends cover all elements of mental health and performance, each focusing heavily on one aspect.

The blends are called Clarity, Creativity, Energy, Motivation, Logic, and Confidence. The titles are self-explanatory about the main points of emphasis.

While the marketing may make you believe Thesis is entirely customizable, you can only select from six blends. However, this is still an effective strategy, as my experience with nootropics has proven different people react differently to formulations and substances.

With the options available, you can choose the best combination, two and rotate their use, or any other manner of administration matching your needs. No other nootropic offers this amount of flexibility. 

Another significant advantage is the ability to choose whether to include caffeine and L-theanine in each blend.

Ingredients

Vyvamind’s composition is based on the caffeine + L-theanine stack, which is one of the best nootropic combinations. Caffeine enhances reaction time, visual processing speed, working memory, and alertness while reducing tiredness and mental fatigue.

At the same time, L-theanine mitigates the worst of caffeine’s side effects while enhancing its effectiveness [1][2].

When the two substances are combined, a lower dose of caffeine has the same impact as a higher quantity without L-theanine.

The remaining two chemicals in Vyvamind are L-Tyrosine and Citicoline. L-tyrosine is known to improve task switching and mental performance under stressful circumstances [3][4], while citicoline is good for memory [5].

Both are slightly underdosed in the formulation, but the synergizing impact should not be overlooked.

An important point to make is that each Thesis blend can be ordered with or without caffeine and L-theanine in the perfect 1:2 ratio, containing 100 mg of caffeine and 200 mg of L-theanine.  

Each Thesis combination contains 4 to 6 components (excluding the optional caffeine and L-theanine) chosen to improve the particular area. I will not mention each element separately but rather focus on the primary component in each blend.

The Clarity blend’s main ingredient is Alpha GPC, which has been demonstrated to improve cognitive function and physical performance [6,7]. The dosage is 500 mg, which is far greater than any other nootropic containing Alpha GPC.

The Energy blend emphasizes the use of theacrine. The purine alkaloid is similar to caffeine, and studies have shown it can boost energy, focus, cognitive function, response time, and endurance in athletes [8].

The Creativity blend’s core ingredient is the popular Ashwagandha root, which has been shown to lower stress and anxiety, two typical inspiration roadblocks. The dose in Thesis is within the recommended range.

The Motivation blend’s primary components are L-Phenylalanine and Methylliberine, which should improve your mood and lower stress, making you more motivated.

The Thesis Confidence blend relies on a few speculative ingredients to deliver the stated results. These include Magnolia Bark, Sage, Saffron, Sceletium Tortuosum, Magenisum, and Ashwagandha Leaf and Root. As the name implies, the formulation seeks to boost your confidence.

The last Thesis blend is the Logic blend, which harnesses the power of Ginko Biloba, Phosphatidylserine, Bacopa Monnieri, and a couple of others at effective levels that match the relevant clinical research.

Stimulant vs. Non-Stimulant

Vyvamind is a stimulant nootropic and one of the better ones. The simple formula harnesses the power of caffeine, supported by L-theanine, to rapidly increase energy, mood, productivity, and focus.

Thesis can be both a stimulant and a non-stimulant product. Each blend has the option to include caffeine and L-theanine or not.

When I picked the Starter set, I chose the non-caffeinated versions to determine the effects of the rest of the formulations since I am well familiar with caffeine.

Short vs. Long-Term Effects

Vyvamind produces a consistent short-term effect, as intended. You gain greater energy, better attention, and the capacity to perform more efficiently courtesy of caffeine.

L-tyrosine and Citicoline provide some long-term accumulating benefits, and the producer of Vyvaminds recommends clients take the supplement for three months to enjoy full benefits.

The non-caffeinated Thesis blends work a bit slower, and optimal effects are again delivered with time. But the company gives you one week to test each blend, meaning they expect them to work in just seven days.

Clinical Research

Vyvamind does not have a whole formula study to boast about, but clinical research extensively examines all four ingredients individually.

Thesis does a great job listing relevant studies for each ingredient on its website for everyone who wants the most proof available.

They also say each blend goes through rigorous study before hitting the market, but I haven’t found any peer-reviewed studies, so I have my doubts about the validity of the claim.

Side Effects

Vyvamind contains 75 mg of caffeine, which is not a particularly high dose but may be a problem for some people. Caffeine side effects include anxiety, nervousness, and sleep disturbance.

While the dose is not high enough to create issues for most people, and L-theanine further reduces the likelihood of unwanted effects, you should be cautious if you know you have problems with the stimulant.

The different Thesis blends contain many substances in total, but each blend has 5 or 6, and the chance of adverse effects is slim.

Still, you might experience headaches or digestive issues. If they persist for more than a couple of days, stop taking the product. 

User Reviews

I like Vyvamind and often use it, but not having user reviews on your website is a poor tactic. There are only a handful of positive reviews on the website, and you must scour Reddit or other places online to find out what people really think about Vyvamind.

On its official website, Thesis provides access to the entire database of over 8,000 reviews, but you must browse through them page by page and cannot filter only to see negative ones.

The general opinions expressed in the reviews are consistent with mine. Some blends work well for some people, while others do not.

This makes sense and verifies Thesis’ sensible approach of offering you a starter pack to test four blends and then allowing you to purchase only the ones you enjoy.

My Experience With Vyvamind And Thesis

Not surprisingly, Vyvamind works. I’ve used caffeine and L-theanine in combination many times in many forms and always felt more energized and productive almost immediately. But I can use cheaper forms of the stack if other effects are not evident.

It seems the other ingredients in Vyvamind also provide brain power. In addition to being energized, I also notice my mind become sharper every time I try the product for at least a month.  

I also like Thesis, but not all blends. I enjoyed the concentration and clarity boost provided by the Logic and Clarity blends but did not feel anything from Confidence and Motivation.

I admit I am impressed by the results because most nootropics require more time to work, while I’ve tested each blend only for a week as a part of the Starter Kit.  

Should You Choose Vyvamind Or Thesis?

Vyvamind is a no-nonsense product that delivers what it promises through a simple but clever formulation. If you want an optimal dose of caffeine aided by potent nootropic substances capable of long-term enhancements, Vyvamind is great.

Thesis is somewhat more complex. The different blends will be effective for different people, and you will first have to test them individually.

Then the product is three times more expensive than Vyvamind. If you are after a non-stimulant nootropic, the choice is easy- Thesis.

You can also add caffeine and match the effect of Vyvamind but with added bonuses due to the more extensive list of ingredients.
