Quick Verdict
Animal Pak is well known among bodybuilders and athletes as the go-to multivitamin, thanks to its huge ingredients list and massive doses, encapsulated into 8 pills per serving.
MuscleTech multivitamin is a good low-cost option that provides the essential vitamins and minerals men need in adequate doses, but it is not as effective as Animal Pak.
On the flip side, the doses in Anima Pak may be too high for some people, the 8-capsule serving quickly becomes a chore, and the price is premium for a multivitamin.
If this is true for you, I strongly recommend you try Prime Male T-Vitamins, which delivers similar results for less money and in 4 tables.

Animal Pak vs MuscleTech Main Differences
Benefits
Multivitamins like Animal Pak and Muscletech have several uses for men. If you’re having trouble getting enough of certain micronutrients from food alone, a multivitamin may help.
A full complement of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids can improve your immune system, hormones, digestion, and energy levels, among other things.
Men’s multivitamins like these two aim to promote muscle growth, workout recovery, and general fitness enhancement.
Designed for active men who want to get in the best shape of their lives, these supplements will help them do just that.
Animal Pak is aimed more at bodybuilders and serious athletes, which explains the enormous ingredient list, high doses, and large serving size.
Ingredients
The ingredient lists of Animal Pak and MuscleTech are comprehensive, so discussing the benefits of each is beyond the scope of this review.
With over 60 active ingredients, Animal Pak boasts the highest single serving of any supplement I’ve tried with 8 tablets, but MuscleTech also earns many customers through its detailed approach to health.
What’s great about the two supplements is the transparent ingredient lists, which show each individual dosage and let us gauge and compare it to scientific studies.
The ingredients in Animal Pak are divided into 8 complexes (one per tablet): Vitamin, Amino Acid, Liver Detox, Protein, Performance, Antioxidant, Digestive Enzyme and Absorption, and Energy and Focus complex.
The vitamin complex contains a ton of vitamins and minerals in high doses, all vital for different body functions.
MuscleTech’s strongest side is its vitamin and mineral content, with essential components like Vitamins A, C, D, E, B12, B6, Folate, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamine, Magnesium, Zinc, Copper, and a few others present in solid doses.
While the doses in MuscleTech are adequate, Animal Pak has higher doses of many ingredients in this category.
The Animal Pak amino complex contains Alanine, Arginine, Aspartic Acid, Cysteine, Glutamic Acid, Glycine, Glutamine, Hydroxyproline, Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Proline, Serie, Threonine, Tryptophan, Tyrosine, Valine, and Ornithine, which is a big plus for athletes.
Muscletech employs glycine, l-methionine, l-citrulline malate, l-arginine HCL, and l-cysteine. They are suitable for inclusion in a formulation of this type, but the dosages appear too low to elicit significant results.
The Liver Detox complex in Animal Pak contains Milk Thistle Seed, hawthorn berry, Beetroot, and Turmeric Root, and its name accurately describes the purpose of these herbs.
Eleutherococcus senticosus, L-taurine, Choline Bitartrate, Inositol, Carnitine, and haematococcus Pluvialis whole microalgae are among the substances found in the Performance Complex that promote performance and reduce recovery time. The ingredient selection is solid; however, not all doses are optimal.
The antioxidant complex contains Spectra, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Spirulina platensis, Chlorella, Grape Seed Extract, Coenzyme Q10, Lutein, and Lycopene, all of which are potent antioxidants.
The Energy and Focus Blend is a major component of the Animal Pak blend. It includes L-tyrosine, Green Tea Leaf Extract, D-glucuronolactone, Cocoa Bean Powder, and Ginkgo biloba. All of these will help you improve your attention, concentration, and mental performance.
The Muscletech herbal mix is also solid, with ingredients like ginko, Turmeric, and Green coffee extract, but the 401 mg total for seven ingredients is far too low to deliver the potential benefits of these herbs.
Muscltech also has an additional mineral complex containing potassium, choline, inositol, and boron, adding more value to the already potent vitamin and mineral mix.
Effectiveness
Animal Pak is undoubtedly the more effective multivitamin. This can be quickly identified by the eight tablets serving against the three in MuscleTech. When we look at the ingredients in depth, we notice an even larger difference in the doses of various components, which again favors Animal Pak.
MuscleTech has benefited me in terms of energy levels and immune system boost, but not much else can be said about its effectiveness. Still, this is a good result for the price and type of supplement.
But Animal Pak delivers a much wider range of benefits across health, physical, and even mental performance.
Clinical Research
The two products are packed with components that have been scientifically validated as beneficial. Clinical studies back the ingredients you will discover here, and their advantages for various health aspects are well known.
Most components in the two products are well-researched, although a few more speculative ingredients lack concrete proof of their efficacy.
In terms of third-party testing, both Animal Pak and MuscleTech are concrete. Their parent companies are among the most reputable in the supplement business, so you can expect quality, safety, and accuracy of the ingredients guaranteed by independent labs and agency certifications.
Side Effects
Despite being natural products, there is always a chance that some people may experience side effects due to the huge number of ingredients in the two products. Side effects are not common and are usually mild, but the possibility is always present.
Several ingredients can cause stomach issues, especially in higher concentrations.
Anima Pak may have higher doses in general, a few of which greatly exceed daily recommendations, but MuscleTech also goes overboard in a few components such as Pantothenic Acid, thiamine, riboflavin, and vitamins B6 and B12.
Many daily recommendations are too low, and it’s even good to consume a lot more, but some, like the ones listed above, can lead to side effects if taken in too high amounts.
Thankfully, I haven’t suffered from any side effects from either supplement.
User Reviews
Animal Pak Multivitamin has a rating of 4.7/5 stars and is widely recommended.
Again, Trustpilot provides more high praise, with multiple reviews claiming flawless rankings, which is suspicious and shows an incentive to encourage such behavior.
Some negative reviews center on the hassle of taking so many pills.
In general, Animal Pak is the most popular and well-acclaimed premium multivitamin supplement for males, so even if some reviews are incentivized in some way, countless real users are sharing their positive experiences.
The Platinum Multi-Vitamin has a 4.5-star rating on Amazon, which is excellent and competitive with many other multivitamins.
Most good reviews underline the product’s high manufacturing quality and outstanding value. Several people commented on how impressive they found the quantity of most of the vitamins contained, except vitamin D.
However, there is no mention of how the supplement affected them other than the fact that it gave them more energy and improved their concentration.
Others expressed concerns about the multivitamin.
These included the pills being difficult to swallow, having an unpleasant flavor and an unsightly, bright yellow color, delivering no discernible benefits, and even causing upset stomachs.
Price
Multivitamin | 1 Bottle | 50 Servings |

Animal Pak | $39.94 ($1.19 per serving |
My Experience With Animal Pak and MuscleTech
I was delighted to try Animal Pak because I hadn’t used it in years, and my trial period produced positive results. I had more energy and felt better overall while using the tablets.
Despite being around individuals with colds and flu, I did not become ill during that time, so I think the immune effects are also robust.
I felt more focused while working, and my recovery time from hard training definitely shortened.
The only disadvantage of Animal Pak is the dosage. I was initially excited about the potential benefits of the eight tablets each day, but as time passed, taking that many pills at once became a hassle, and the results were not as groundbreaking as I had thought.
MuscleTech had a much more modest effect. It raised my energy levels, and I believe the vitamin and mineral complex enhanced my overall health. However, incorporating the product into my morning routine was not easier than Animal Pak, despite the much smaller serving.
The MuscleTech capsules are big and have an unpleasant taste. Despite having taken so many supplements in my life, I still hate swallowing huge pills, and I can see this getting in the way of people like me liking the multivitamin.
Should You Choose Animal Pak or MuscleTech?
Animal Pak is undoubtedly the superior and more potent supplement. It boasts the single largest serving among its competitors, and it gets the doses correct for almost all ingredients, which is impressive given the sheer amount of them.
Naturally, it is also the most expensive supplement in its category. The difficulty of taking 8 tablets every day, as well as the high cost, are worthwhile for professional athletes, bodybuilders, or guys who are under extreme physical and mental stress and need as much support from supplements as possible.
MuscleTech Multivitamins lack the doses to compete with the heavy hitters in the multivitamin segment, but the low price and high vitamin and mineral content make them a worthwhile, cost-efficient choice—if you don’t mind the big pills.
If the price and, more importantly, the dosage of Animal Pak are too high for you, I recommend Prime Male Vitality multivitamins. They include fewer ingredients, but in my experience, I had the same results as Animal Pak with half the dose and a lower price.
