Ingredients

The two supplements use solely natural components, but unlike many other weight management supplements, they take different approaches and have no shared ingredients except caffeine.

I will start with PhenQ’s comprehensive formulation.

A-Lacys Reset is a patented mix of alpha-lipoic acid and cysteine.

It is meant to boost metabolism and speed up the body’s thermogenic processes, allowing you to burn more calories. In clinical research, participants who used a-Lacys Reset lost 7.24% of their body fat and 3.44% of their body weight and increased muscle mass by 3.80% [1].

PhenQ’s Capsimax Powder contains capsicum, piperine, caffeine, and niacin, a highly powerful combination of fat burners.

Piperine (black pepper) boosts the bioavailability of other nutrients, enhancing the formula’s efficiency [2][3].

Capsicum is derived from red chili peppers and has thermogenic properties that increase metabolism. Capsaicinoids have been shown to induce thermogenesis, increase fat oxidation, and decrease appetite [10].

This chemical uses the heat from capsaicin to increase calorie expenditure without the unpleasant burning sensation that might occur when consuming spicy foods directly.

Chromium Picolinate is a mineral that regulates blood glucose and reduces cravings for carbohydrates and sugars. A study discovered that subjects taking chromium picolinate had lower food consumption, hunger, and desire for fat [4].

Caffeine is a well-known stimulant that improves alertness and reduces weariness. Caffeine also increases metabolic rate, which aids fat loss. According to a study, caffeine can boost the resting metabolic rate by 3-11% [6][7].

Zotrim’s caffeine is 75 mg in total, derived from guarana and yerba mate. This is slightly below a regular cup of espresso, which contains 90-100 mg of caffeine.

PhenQ also contains Innoslim, a mixture of extracts from Astragalus membranaceous and Panax notoginseng. Innoslim has been shown to boost adiponectin levels, which regulate glucose and fatty acid breakdown [11].

Iodine is also one of the PhenQ components. Iodine is needed for proper thyroid function, which regulates metabolism [9].

PhenQ has a high concentration of vitamins B3, B6, and B12, which improve brain function and energy. These vitamins are required for all weight loss supplements.

PhenQ contains Nopal Cactus, a fiber-rich plant that reduces appetite. Studies have also indicated that nopal can help lessen hunger and fat absorption, resulting in long-term weight reduction [8].

The amino acid L-carnitine fumarate found in PhenQ helps transform stored fat into energy, improving physical performance and lowering fatigue [5].

Zotrim is comprised of Yerba Mate, Guarana, Damiana, and caffeine.

Yerba Mate contains several active compounds, including xanthines, caffeine-like stimulants, and saponins, known for their anti-inflammatory properties. When it comes to weight loss, Yerba Mate excels because it can enhance metabolism and curb appetite.

Guarana, which contains twice as much caffeine as coffee beans, is particularly effective in increasing metabolism and improving focus. It is present in Zotrim at a concentration of 95 mg, which has been carefully calculated to maximize its advantages.

Damiana is an ancient herbal cure that has been used in traditional medicine for centuries and Zotrim contains 36mg of it. The herb works by modulating neurotransmitters, which can improve mood and relieve stress.

Effectiveness

Zotrim vs PhenQ Ingredients

PhenQ helped me lose 20 pounds in a month. The supplement was a part of a comprehensive diet and workout routine, but even so, the results were more than impressive, given that I am already in good shape.

With Zotrim, I noticed a more gradual weight loss. The main effect of the product was a noticeable boost in energy levels and lower appetite, which falls in line with the supplement’s intention.

Keep in mind that these rapid outcomes are unlikely to occur for every user. Even PhenQ does not guarantee miracles, and its website demonstrates that achieving long-term weight loss takes months.

Furthermore, the final result largely depends on individual biology, lifestyle, and other circumstances.

Those sensitive to stimulants may experience jitteriness or trouble sleeping, especially if taken later in the day.

Zotrim is a plant-based supplement that tends to have fewer side effects. However, some users may experience mild digestive discomfort, nausea, or headaches, particularly when first starting the supplement.

Both PhenQ and Zotrim should be taken as directed. To minimize risks, users with underlying health conditions or those sensitive to specific ingredients should consult a healthcare provider before use.

With PhenQ, I went through some mild stomach discomfort, while Zotrim did not produce any side effects.

My Experience With PhenQ And Zotrim

I had a terrific experience with PhenQ. Surprisingly, I dropped 20 pounds in just over three weeks. Although a balanced diet and a tight fitness routine were the foundation of my weight loss, I had never seen such rapid results, even when following the same practices.

During the first week of using PhenQ, I felt less hungry, and at the end of the second week, I had more energy and could exercise harder than before.

While weight loss was the primary outcome, I was pleased to see that my mood had improved significantly. As a result, I was not only more pleasant to be around but also better able to resist the temptation to consume junk food or skip workouts. 

The product’s downside was the gas and bloating I had for a few days.  

The first sign of Zotrim working was the increase in energy after a few days of intake. Unlike coffee, which gets me started but then causes a crash, Zotrim gave me more sustained energy.

Then came the curbed appetite, which was a tremendous help in resisting snacking, especially in the evening when I’m tired, and my willpower is all but depleted.

In a couple of months with Zotrim, I noticed a gradual but consistent weight loss. The product lives up to its promises of providing energy, mood enhancement, and appetite suppression.

Should You Choose PhenQ or Zotrim?

Although PhenQ and Zotrim have similar purposes, they operate differently, and your goals will be the main deciding factor. PhenQ has a strong fat-burning effect and is great at boosting your metabolism.

This is perfect for people who work out regularly and intensely, as it will maximize their efforts. It definitely produces faster results.

Zotrim does not have this effect, but it’s super effective at suppressing appetite and boosting energy and mood. Given its lower price and solid clinical backing, I would say it’s a better choice for people who want better control over their diet and mental state.    

Still, my choice is PhenQ because it takes a more comprehensive approach and can facilitate much faster weight loss.
