Beets have long been celebrated for their detoxifying and heart-healthy benefits, but can a teaspoon of SuperBeets powder deliver the power of three whole beets?

This intriguing supplement boosts nitric oxide levels, enhances blood flow, and supports overall cardiovascular health.

As someone always on the lookout for effective health boosters, I decided to investigate what makes SuperBeets stand out.

Manufactured in the US from non-GMO beets, SuperBeets promises a vegan, gluten-free option for those seeking to improve circulation and heart health.

But, with mixed reviews on taste and a higher price tag compared to other beetroot supplements, is it worth the investment?

  • It includes malic acid and magnesium ascorbate, which offer potential anti-inflammatory and cardioprotective benefits.

  • Mixes well with liquids, making it easy to integrate into daily routines.

Quick Verdict

What Is SuperBeets?

SuperBeets is a nutritional supplement manufactured by the wellness brand HumanN. It is designed to boost nitric oxide production and promote healthy blood circulation.

SuperBeets operates by harnessing the potent properties found in beets, particularly their high nitrate content, to deliver health benefits aimed at supporting cardiovascular function and overall wellness.

The process begins with non-GMO beets carefully grown in the United States. The company employs a low-heat dehydration method to turn these beets into a powder to ensure maximum nutrient retention. This powdered form is what you receive in the SuperBeets product.

SuperBeets’ primary action is to boost nitrate levels in the body when consumed. Nitrates are converted into nitric oxide through natural biological processes.

Nitric oxide acts as a signaling molecule that helps expand blood vessels, improving blood flow and circulation.

Improved blood circulation plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy blood pressure levels and can contribute to enhanced physical performance and energy levels.

SuperBeets Ingredients

SuperBeets is non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free. It ticks many wellness boxes, but that’s largely because it contains few to no ingredients!

Here’s what it contains:

Beetroot Powder

Beetroot is great at boosting the body’s natural nitric oxide production.

This important molecule helps to relax and widen the blood vessels, improving blood circulation and lowering blood pressure [1][2].

Unfortunately, we can only guess how much beetroot extract is in one serving of SuperBeets, so it is hard to infer its effectiveness from the doses used in studies.

Malic Acid

Malic acid is found in various fruits and wines, and one study suggests it may have cardioprotective effects, mainly due to its anti-inflammatory properties [3].

Magnesium Ascorbate

According to one influential study, consuming between 500 and 1,000mg of magnesium daily may significantly reduce blood pressure [4].

SuperBeets only contains 18mg, so don’t expect the same outcomes.

Other Ingredients

SuperBeets also contains a natural black cherry flavor and a sweetener molecule from Stevia rebaudiana leaf. Neither of these will help improve your nitric oxide production or blood circulation.

Taste and Solubility

Opinions seem to diverge about the taste of SuperBeets. Personally, I find that it strikes a balance between earthy and subtly sweet, a flavor profile typical of beets yet more refined.

Although it does not have the overbearing sweetness often found in fruit-flavored supplements, it has a distinct beetroot essence that might surprise those who are not accustomed to such a taste.

The solubility of the powder is a significant factor in the taste experience. Fortunately, SuperBeets mix well with liquid, whether water, juice or a smoothie.

I appreciate this because poor solubility often results in gritty textures that can deter regular use. With SuperBeets, the powder dissolves quite efficiently without leaving any noticeable residue.

I typically mix the recommended serving of one teaspoon in a glass of cold water. The beet flavor remains prominent, yet it is well-balanced enough to be easy to incorporate into my morning routine.

For those who find the earthy taste challenging, blending it into fruit juice or a smoothie with banana or berries can help mask the flavor without reducing its health benefits.

Benefits of SuperBeets

Increased Nitric Oxide Production

Nitric oxide is a vital molecule that plays a crucial role in cardiovascular health. It primarily promotes the dilation of blood vessels, which can improve blood flow and reduce blood pressure.

By increasing the availability of this compound, SuperBeets aims to support heart health and enhance overall physical performance.

This beetroot powder is rich in nitrates, compounds that are naturally converted into nitric oxide upon consumption.

The emphasis on this conversion process is one of the key selling points of SuperBeets, making it a sought-after supplement for those keen on maintaining or improving their vascular health.

Furthermore, heightened nitric oxide levels have been linked with improved exercise performance. This means potentially better endurance and less fatigue during workouts for athletes and fitness enthusiasts.

Enhanced blood flow can deliver oxygen to muscles more efficiently, boosting physical output. In this context, SuperBeets can be considered an attractive option for those looking to amplify their workout efficacy or recover faster post-exercise.

Enhanced Cognitive Function

Additionally, nitric oxide is associated with cognitive benefits. Improved blood circulation, facilitated by increased nitric oxide, can positively impact brain health.

Adequate oxygen and nutrient delivery to the brain is crucial for maintaining mental clarity and cognitive function.

Users of SuperBeets might notice an enhancement in focus and energy levels throughout the day, contributing to better productivity and alertness.

His potential benefit makes SuperBeets appealing to those concerned about physical health and individuals seeking to maximize mental acuity.

Lowers Blood Pressure

This effect is primarily attributed to the nitrates naturally present in beets. When consumed, these nitrates are converted into nitric oxide in the body, a compound that plays a crucial role in blood vessel health.

Nitric oxide helps dilate and relax blood vessels, which can improve blood flow and lower blood pressure.

Clinical studies have often supported this claim, showing that beetroot juice and its derivatives can significantly reduce both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a prevalent health issue that can lead to serious complications if left unmanaged, such as heart disease and stroke.

As a natural source of nitrates, SuperBeets provides a convenient way to harness the blood pressure-lowering benefits of beets without consuming the vegetable in large quantities daily.

Boosted Energy

This claim is primarily attributed to its main ingredient: beets. Beets are a rich source of dietary nitrates, which the body can convert into nitric oxide.

Enhanced nitric oxide levels have been linked to improved vascular function and circulation. When blood flow is optimized, it can lead to a better distribution of oxygen and nutrients throughout the body, which might explain why some users report feeling more energetic after consuming SuperBeets.

Who Is SuperBeets For?

People Who Want Heart Health Support

SuperBeets ability to boost nitric oxide levels plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy blood pressure and enhancing circulation.

This makes it an attractive option for those looking to manage their cardiovascular wellness beyond traditional diet and exercise.

Athletes & Fitness Enthusiasts

Athletes or fitness enthusiasts may also find SuperBeets beneficial. Its potential to improve blood flow and provide a natural energy boost without caffeine jitters can enhance workout performance and recovery.

For those seeking a plant-based pre-workout alternative, SuperBeets offers a viable option that supports stamina and endurance.

Those Seeking Natural Supplements

Also, SuperBeets caters to individuals who prefer natural and transparent ingredient products. Made from non-GMO beets grown in the US, it is vegan, gluten-free, and does not contain artificial sweeteners.

These aspects appeal to health-conscious consumers who are mindful of the sources and quality of their supplements.

My Experience with SuperBeets

I decided to put these claims to the test by trying out SuperBeets for one month.

This was the first time I’d used a blood pressure supplement, and I was curious to see what effect it would have.

I haven’t had particular issues with my blood pressure, but I took a reading at rest and just after a workout at the beginning of the month to get a rough baseline.

From day one to day 30, I noticed no changes in my energy levels. At least, nothing that could be attributed to SuperBeets.

The only real change was that I eventually got used to its foul smell and taste.

My blood pressure levels remained largely the same at the end of the month. Overall, a big disappointment.

Customer SuperBeets Reviews

SuperBeets user reviews on Amazon are suspiciously good.

More than 30,000 ratings and a 4.3-star score for an overpriced product that may not deliver? Something doesn’t add up.

Here’s the AI summary of reviews on Amazon:

“Customers like the nutritional supplement’s quality, energy level, and blood pressure. They mention it works great, keeps them going all day long, and helps to support healthy blood pressure levels—some also like the health benefits and mixability.

However, some customers feel the product is pricey and a waste of time and money. They have different opinions on the taste and have issues with the smell.”

SuperBeets Side Effects

The most striking side effect of SuperBeets is that they may initially give your urine and feces a pinkish hue!

I didn’t experience this or any other side effects, though. As always, it’s never a bad idea to consult with your physician before taking any supplements.

Digestive Issues: The most commonly reported side effects revolve around the digestive system. Some users have mentioned feeling bloated or experiencing stomach upset after taking SuperBeets.

This could be attributed to the high nitrate content, which, though beneficial for some, might irritate sensitive digestive systems. It’s advisable to start with a smaller dosage to see how your body adjusts.

Changes in Urine and Stool Color: Beets are famously known for their vibrant coloring, which can manifest in your urine or stool, turning them a pink or red hue—a harmless condition known as beeturia.

While this might be alarming initially, it is not dangerous and should subside as the beet pigments pass through your system.

Possible Allergies: Although rare, allergic reactions to beetroot can occur. Symptoms can range from mild, such as skin rashes, to more severe reactions like difficulty breathing.

If you experience any allergic symptoms, it is crucial to discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional.

Effects on Blood Pressure: SuperBeets are marketed for lowering blood pressure due to increased nitric oxide levels.

But, if you are already on blood pressure medication, taking SuperBeets might cause your blood pressure to drop too low.

This situation could lead to dizziness or fainting spells. Always discuss with a healthcare provider if you are under medication or have pre-existing conditions.

Kidney Stones Risk: Beets contain oxalates, compounds that can contribute to kidney stone formation when consumed in excess.

Individuals prone to kidney stones or with a history of kidney issues should be cautious and seek medical advice before incorporating large amounts of beetroot products into their diet.

Headaches or Lightheadedness: A few users have reported experiencing headaches or lightheadedness, which could be linked to the body’s increased production of nitric oxide.

While not common, if you notice these symptoms, reducing the dose or discontinuing use may be necessary until you discuss it with a doctor.

SuperBeets Alternatives

HeartBeets

HeartBeets

HeartBeets is a relatively new product, but it has generated quite a bit of buzz in the past year, and for good reason.

HeartBeets boasts a list of 13 impressive ingredients that are proven to boost nitric oxide production, improve overall heart health, and support circulation.

It includes beetroot extract, olive leaf, green tea extract, garlic extract, and vitamins B6, B2, and C, among others.

It’s why it’s ranked my best nitric oxide supplement.

Unlike SuperBeets, HeartBeets is clear about the dose of each ingredient, and it generally contains generous helpings that have been chosen based on research that has identified the doses at which benefits take effect.

It costs a bit more than SuperBeets, but you are clearly getting way more for your money: 13 hefty doses of science-backed ingredients vs. one ingredient at a mystery dose!

In any case, big savings can be made on HeartBeets if you buy in bulk.

One other plus point for HeartBeets is that it comes in capsule form, so it doesn’t suffer from the questionable taste of SuperBeets!

Heart Sheild

Heart Sheild

Heart Sheild has been around a bit longer and is another high-performance, beetroot-based supplement that’s effective at lowering blood pressure and improving vein and arterial health.

It is similar in many respects to HeartBeets, so I won’t go into too much detail, but it is slightly more expensive.

It doesn’t have quite as many positive reviews from reputed health and wellness sources (although that’s not to say that the reviews it does have are bad, because they’re not).

My Heart Sheild review goes into detail about the formula and my experience.

Red Tonik

Red Tonik

HeartBeets and HeartSheild are available in capsules, but if you still like the idea of a powder drink, Red Tonik may be worth a try.

I’ve been enthusiastic about it lately and noticed an improvement in temperature extremities. I can also assure you it doesn’t taste that bad!

Other user reviews are pretty complimentary as well.

It contains 13 promising ingredients to boost circulatory health, promote strength and endurance, and reduce inflammation.

It is pricier than SuperBeets, but it’s a superior product.

Frequently Asked SuperBeets Questions

How Does the Taste Compare to Other Supplement Options?

SuperBeets has a unique flavor profile described as a balance of earthy and subtly sweet. Compared to other powdered supplements, it offers a refined taste typical of beets yet is less overpowering than some fruit-flavored alternatives.

Mixing the taste with fruit juice or smoothies can make it more palatable for those who find the taste too earthy.

Can SuperBeets Help with Specific Health Goals?

SuperBeets is designed to aid in specific health areas, such as enhancing cardiovascular health and providing a natural energy boost.

For athletes, it might serve as a beneficial addition to their pre-workout routine. Those looking to manage their blood pressure levels might also find it useful, though consistency is key to experiencing positive effects.

How Should SuperBeets Be Consumed?

SuperBeets is versatile. Mixing a scoop of 4 to 6 ounces of water can be easily incorporated into daily routines.

It can also be added to juices or smoothies for those who prefer a different flavor experience. For best results, it is recommended to stick to one or two servings a day without exceeding the limit.

Summary

As I said, I’m less than impressed with SuperBeets.

While I don’t have any serious circulatory or blood pressure issues, I still would have hoped for some noticeable improvements after one month of knocking back this drink!

Quite simply, it’s not worth your time or money.

The blood pressure supplements market is much more competitive now. More and more products offer quality and quantity. It’s no longer enough to dehydrate some beetroot and call it ‘super.’

If you’re looking for an effective blood pressure supplement that offers value, I recommend you first try HeartBeets.
